Summary
Sea urchins. Short, thick, pointed spines. Black to olive to reddish brown and red.
Habitat environment and ecology
Most common in shallow rocky and tidal areas, but occasionally much
deeper. Bore holes in substrate, which they occupy during day. Feed on
algae in the open (near their holes) at night.
Distribution range
Curaçao. BES-eilanden.
