Summary
Saltwaterfish. Angelfishes. Swim around the reef either alone or in pairs. Is not very shy.
To be confused with
- Gray Angelfish Pomacanthus arcuatus
Characteristics
Size: 25 to 35 cm, max 45 cm.
Colour: Black body with yellow at the end of the scales. Yellow around the eyes and at the end of the top tailfin. Juveniles are black with three yellow bars.
Shape: Deep and compressed body with long filamentous fins.
Habitat environment and ecology
Inhabits coral reefs. Inhabits shallow reef, where they swim around
either alone or in pairs. Is not very shy. The juvenile acts as a
cleaner for other fishes.

BES-eilanden: St. Eustatius.
