Summary

Usualy smooth domes, skeletons of individuals multi rayed with angular walls in between. Color uniform per colony, pink, brown or gray.

To be confused with

Lesser starlet coral Siderastrea stellata (mostly encrusting) and Siderastrea radians.

Characteristics

Size:  Up to 1 m 80 in diameter.
Colour:  Uniform per colony, pink, brown or gray.
Shape: Usualy smooth domes, skeletons of individuals multi rayed with angular walls inbetween.

Habitat environment and ecology

Shallow to moderate reefs.

Distribution range

BES-eilanden: Bonaire, St. Eustatius.
