- Tidal Spray Crab Plagusia depressa
Characteristics
Size: 2,5 cm
Colour: The markings are orange to red with dark outlines over a cream/yellow background that has small black and yellow spots.
Shape: Carpace almost square, longer than wide. Body and legs are smooth, legs are short. Claws are wide.
Habitat environment and ecology
Inhabit coral reefs. It is often found under horizontal crevices, in the daytime in areas of surge, looking for food.
Distribution range
BES-eilanden: St. Eustatius.
