Summary
Saltwater fish. Bigeyes. Found on reefs and rocky areas, small
school. By day it hides in crevices, emerging at night to
feed.
To be confused with
Bigeye, Priacanthus arenatus.
Characteristics
Size: 25-30 cm.
Colour: Bright red body, it can change colour to light grey.
Shape: The mouth is slanted sharply upwards. Big eyes.
Habitat environment and ecology
Inhabits
coral reefs. Found on reefs and rocky areas, small school. By day it
hides in crevices, emerging at night to feed.
Distribution range
BES-eilanden: St Eustatius.
