Saltwater fish, Drum. Solitary nocturnal preditor that is often seen by day swimming in caves or crevices in the reef.

Size: 10-25 cm, max 32,5 cm.
Colour: It has a white body with dark brown bars, bands and stripes. The fins are dark brown with white spots. The head colouration of the juvenile is similair to that of the adult, but its dorsal fin is much longer and it has only a single dark body stripe.
Shape: Big head and highly elevated dorsal fin.

Inhabits coral reefs. Solitary nocturnal preditor that is often seen by day swimming in caves or crevices in the reef.
