Summary

Saltwater fish, small size fish with long body and cylindrical, with two dorsal fins. The mouth is underslung, or shark-like. Upper body dark with a bright yellow or white 'vee' on top of head. Underside pale, size 4 cm.

To be confused with

-  Neon goby Elacatinus oceanops
(Has a bright blue stripe on is back.)

Characteristics

Seize: 4 cm.
Colour:  a yellow stripe in front of each eye that joins to form a V near the tip of their snout, black and white stipes tripes in the length of the body.
Shape: very small, torpedo-shaped fish.


Habitat environment and ecology

Inhabits coral reefs. Often cleans other fish species
