Summary
Saltwater fish, Tube Blennies. Small size fish with long body and
cylindrical, with two dorsal fins. Inhabits shallow reefs with limestone
slopes. Head poking out of wormholes.
To be confused with
- Spinyhead blenny Acanthemblemaria spinosa
- Roughhead blenny Acanthemblemaria aspera
Characteristics
Size: 1.8 to 3.8 cm, max 5 cm.
Colour: Body dark to light brown, with tiny dark speckles. The head white to greenish.
Shape: small, torpedo-shaped, with Cirri above the eyes.
Habitat environment and ecology
Inhabits coral reefs. Head poking out of wormholes.
