Summary
Saltwaterfish. Angelfishes. Swim around the reef either alone or in pairs. Is relatively shy.
To be confused with
- Blue Angelfish Holacanthus bermudensis
Characteristics
Size: 20 to 35 cm, max 45 cm.
Color: Buish-green edged with yellow-orange posteriorly. On the head a black dot ringed with blue: the crown! The juvenile has dark blue body with five black bars.
Shape: Deep and compressed body with long filamentous fins.
Habitat environment and ecology
Inhabits coral reefs. Inhabits shallow reef. The juvenile acts as a cleaner for other fishes.

BES-eilanden: St. Eustatius.
