Great barracuda

Summary
Saltwater fish. Barracudas. Silver. Long, cylindrical body. Large
underslung jaw, pointed teeth often obvious. Drifts around reefs and
other habitats. Solitary or in small groups.
To be confused with
- Atlantic Tarpon Megalops atlanticus (which is also a long, silvery fish).
Characteristics
Size: 60–100 cm, max 180 cm.
Colour: silver or blue type coloration or grey above chalky-white below, black spots occurs on each side.
Shape: elongated fish with powerful jaws.
Habitat environment and ecology
Inhabits coral reefs and subtropical parts of the Indian, Pacific and Atlantic oceans
Distribution range
BES-eilanden: St. Eustatius, Saba.
